A former Lake Elsinore high school teacher could face three years in prison after pleading guilty Friday to sexually abusing a female student.

The woman's twin sister pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge for helping her sister and the student see each other outside of school.

Franca Munoz-Juvera, 27, who taught math at Lakeside High School until June, pleaded guilty to a single count of lewd acts with a minor for having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student between October and November 2006.

Meet Kelly Sweet. The eighth grade teacher, 26, is facing a felony rap for an alleged sexual encounter with a 14-year-old boy in her Milwaukee apartment earlier this month. As noted in a Circuit Court criminal complaint, the Deer Creek Intermediate School teacher was watching a movie with the boy on March 9 when she initiated illicit contact while the pair was seated on her couch (Sweet had been resting her head on the boy's lap). The charged assault involved Sweet allegedly "grinding her pubic mound" against the victim.

In the past two weeks, three female teachers have been arrested in the Tampa, Fla., area, accused of having sex with male students.

First came the arrest of a middle school math teacher, Stephanie Ragusa, 28. She was charged with having sex with a 14-year-old, authorities said.

Last Thursday, high school honors English teacher Mary Jo Spack, 45, also was arrested. She is accused of meeting a 17- and an 18-year-old student at a liquor store and leading them to a motel room, where more students allegedly joined the party.

And on Monday night, substitute teacher Lisa Marinelli, 40, a married mother of two, was arrested by sheriff's deputies and charged with unlawful sex with a minor.

A teacher is on paid leave while officials investigate why a student urinated in a lunch box during her class. Orange County school officials say the Meadowbrook Middle School student urinated in a lunch box while hiding behind a classroom bookcase.

According to statements by other students in the class, school officials think that when the boy asked to go the restroom on Thursday, teacher Jameeka Chambers told him to hold it or use her lunch box.

An attorney for the Orange County School Board says the boy took the lunch box, hid behind a bookcase, urinated in it and returned it to her. Chambers is to be interviewed on Monday.

A 9th-Grade Mentor who works at Lower Richland High School was sent home Monday morning, because he says the school didn't like the color he dyed his hair.

Michael Rice says Lower Richland High School's principal called the mentor into his office shortly after the first block of the day ended.

Rice says Principal Marvin Byers told him his green hair color was "over the top." The mentor says he wore his hair colored with the Luck of the Irish in honor of St. Patrick's Day, March 17th. Rice says he just wanted to give fellow staff members and students a good-natured laugh.

Sexual offenses committed by female teachers is at its peak, much like the libidos of the accused. While male teachers are (rightfully) lambasted for their sexual misconduct, women seem to get off much easier - literally and figuratively. And why, you ask? A Granby High School teacher accused of sending improper photos of herself to students via cell phone has been arrested.

Natasha L. Sizow, 24, of Alton Drive in Virginia Beach was charged with two counts each of indecent liberties and use of a communications device to facilitate crimes against children, according to police and court records. She turned herself in Tuesday night, said Officer Chris Amos, police spokesman.

She was accused of sending photos of herself "in various stages of undress," said Sgt. Jim Robertson, police spokesman. The students involved were a male and a female, both age 17, according to Amanda Howie of the commonwealth's attorney's office.

Today Pamela Rogers had her first hearing before a parole officer to plead her case that she has now gotten the help she needed to stay away from hot underage boys and should be released to rejoin her supportive family.

Unfortunately, the parole officer was not swayed and recommended to the parole board that Rogers not be released at this time and that her next chance for parole would not be until 2014, when the former Ms. Monday Nitro would be 35 years old.

Those are just some of the sleazy details in a Biloxi Police Department report detailing Rebecca Dawn Bogard's alleged sexual assault of the boy, who the 27-year-old educator taught at the Biloxi Alternative School.

Investigators were contacted by the boy's mother after she discovered raunchy messages from the teacher on the boy's phone, including one from a "Dawn" who wrote, "I love you, yeah it was the best, which night was the best 4 you, I'm sensitive but not sore, you were good..."

A 37-year-old Utah mother -- and former substitute teacher -- has admitted to engaging in illegal sexual acts with at least five teenage boys.

Leisa Ward, a mother of four, pleaded guilty on child sex-related charges in a deal that led prosecutors to drop the most serious counts against her. Ward agreed to plead guilty on charges of unlawful sexual conduct and, as a result will not be charged with anything else.

Ward was arrested in Nov. 2007 following reports that she engaged in sexual activities with at least five boys, whose ages were 16 or 17 at the time. Nephi Police said the allegations started as rumors that were eventually corroborated.

An alleged teen drunken driving incident led deputies to a teacher's home, KPRC Local 2 reported Friday.

Brazoria County sheriff's deputies said two teenagers, who were stopped on suspicion of drunken driving, told them they drank alcohol at teacher Robin Ater's home in Danbury.

"At the residence, we spoke to the homeowner and found beer cans and a receipt for beer bought earlier in the day," investigator Darrell Collins said.

Debra Lafave was arrested in Tampa today for violating her probation. The violation listed says she talked to a female coworker who was 17 years old on various occasions.

The former Tampa teacher was accused of having sex with a 14-year-old middle school student. Part of her agreement included that she not have any contact with minors.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office says she was in violation of Condition 69 of her probation, which states she cannot discuss "Non-work related issues such as family problems, friends, high school, personal life, boyfriend issues and sexual issues" with minors.

A substitute teacher who worked her first day Wednesday at Bruce Elementary School took off all her clothes from the waist down in front of a class of fourth-graders, according to school officials.

"They noticed she started to disrobe," said Bibb County schools assistant superintendent Sylvia McGee. "From her waist down, she was totally nude."

McGee said the substitute, whose name was not released, may have been on medication at the time, because after students went to another classroom to tell another teacher, the substitute was found in the classroom "nonresponsive."

Clermont County school officials say a cheerleading coach and a football coach were fired after the cheerleading coach and a cheerleader were allegedly photographed together topless at the football coach's house.

School officials say the photos of the 19-year-old coach and the 15-year-old cheerleader -- both females -- were posted online.

A teacher at Hurricane High School was arrested today, charged with five counts of rape.

Cris Morris, a 29-year-old female teacher from Washington City, is accused of having sexual intercourse with a juvenile male student. Under Utah law, a juvenile student is incapable of consenting to sexual relations with a teacher, which constitutes the act as rape.

A Roseville High School teacher accused of having sex with her teenaged student aide last school year was arraigned on criminal sexual conduct charges today in a Clinton Township district court.

Janelle Batkins, 42, of Harrison Township, is charged with two counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, a 15-year felony. She was released on a $25,000 personal bond under the conditions she doesn’t go on the school grounds and doesn’t have contact with minors unrelated to her.

Batkins, who taught French for 15 years in the district and was named Teacher of the Year in 2002, resigned over the summer.

A Knoxville teacher accused of having an affair with a high school student has gone missing with her two children.

Erin McLean — whose husband, Eric McLean, is charged with killing the 18-year-old student who allegedly had an affair with his wife — has been missing for a week, according to attorneys for both parties.

Her Nashville attorney, Gary Blackburn, fears for the woman's safety because, he says, she is distraught over the publicity surrounding the Knoxville case and the loss of another teaching job in Davidson County.

Investigators said Thursday more charges may follow after 32-year-old teacher Elizabeth Munn was arrested and charged for rape in the third degree Wednesday night.

Former Howard County teacher Kirsten Ann Kinley pleaded guilty yesterday in Circuit Court to one count of third-degree sex offense for improper sexual conduct with a 15-year-old boy at her Columbia apartment more than two years ago.

Similar charges against her involving a second boy were dropped after he refused to cooperate with prosecutors. Neither youth was one of her students.

As part of a plea agreement, Kinley, 27, a former special-education teacher at Marriotts Ridge High School in Marriottsville, could receive up to 18 months in jail.

A former elementary school teacher has been charged with kidnapping a 10-year-old student and is suspected of raping him multiple times.

Jennifer Rice, 37, was arrested Saturday and booked into the Pierce County Jail for investigation of kidnapping, five counts of first-degree child rape, and four counts of child molestation.

On Monday she pleaded not guilty in Pierce County Superior Court to a charge of kidnapping with sexual motivation, and prosecutors said more charges will follow.

Tacoma police spokesman Mark Fulghum said Rice was working as a contract teacher at McKinley Elementary School earlier this year and the alleged victim was a student in her class.

A Monessen High School teacher resigned after winning a date with a porn star during a satellite radio contest. The school board voted to accept Jaison Biagini's resignation on Tuesday.

While listening to the "Bubba the Love Sponge" radio show on Sirius satellite radio, Biagini won the trip last month to St. Petersburg, Fla., to meet with porn star Akira.

Biagini, who uses a wheelchair, was interviewed on the radio show after returning home, and told the Valley Independent in Monessen that he was ridiculed for his disability and offended by how he was portrayed on the show. He also expressed concerns about his teaching job.

Biagini contended the radio host chastised him, saying Biagini knew full well what the contest was about.

Christine Scarlett, a former Strongsville High School substitute teacher who had an inappropriate sexual relationship with the captain of the school's football team was sentenced on Tuesday. Judge Dick Ambrose ordered her to spend the next 3 days in jail, followed by 180 days of house arrest, and five years probation.

Scarlett was charged with sexual battery of her former student, Steven Bradigan, who was 17 in 2002 when the affair took place. Scarlett, a married mother of three, gave birth to Bradigan's son in 2003.

Bradigan told the judge that Scarlett had tricked him into having an affair so she could get pregnant. Those words caused Scarlett to break down into tears.

An English teacher at Western High School resigned Monday amid an investigation of an incident in which he allegedly removed a student’s garter with his teeth during the prom, a spokeswoman for the school system said today.

Lauren Roberts, public information officer with the Jefferson County Public Schools, said Western High Principal Louis Hughley Jr. had reassigned the teacher, Brett Coogle, to non-instructional duties on May 17.

Western’s prom was May 11.
