Cute is the word thrown at me with a Hello Kitty Tattoo. Well I throw back moron! Anyhoo, I can’t think of any one place where you should ink this evil feline, but then some people love her like anything. But no amount of love could explain a Hello Kitty Tattoo on someone’s forehead. A drinking binge and a numb visit to a tattoo parlor thereafter is the only explanation for something like this.

Braille Tattoos

Not all tattoos are purely visual. Some of them – so-called “Braille tattoos” – have another dimension (literally) that allows people who understand Braille to touch them and read them in a purely tactile way. I’ve seen a couple of dozen Braille tattoos in my life. About half of them were conceptual, but the rest were functional and readable.

If you want a conceptual ‘Braille tattoo’ then a simple ink tattoo will be fine. Someone who understands Braille will be able to ‘read’ the dots, but only visually. A blind person won't be able to read them though as although there is some minimal scarring from a normal ink tattoo, it’s almost imperceptible to touch.

For more than a year, Richmond County investigators posed as employees of the Colur Tyme Tattoo Parlor on Tobacco Road, and made illegal gun and drug purchases.

On Wednesday, the parlor's doors were closed as some of the same people who worked in the store created by the sheriff's office joined federal and state authorities in pre-dawn raids across Augusta. So far, that operation has yielded 71 arrests, at least 43 of which are known gang members, Sheriff Ronnie Strength said.

Well one student has thought up a way where the visually impaired can express themselves through tattoos that can be read. The Braille Tattoo, designed by Klara Jirkova (a student at the University of the Arts Berlin), is a series of implantable surgical steel, titanium, or medical plastic that's placed under the skin.

No, no, no, this is not a new thing, it has been happening since the age of 13 or so when I started to discover girls and women with those ever so lovely and slight moustaches. Tattooing was banned in Key West in 1966, when a Navy commander decided the once-seedy activity was too accessible for drunken sailors.
