A 'Christian' rock band called 'Starfield' was rocking out Jesus-style at a show in Canada over the weekend when the floor collapsed. This video from the concert shows hundreds of fans falling through the floor and into the basement below. Dozens of attendees were injured and at least one remains in a coma. Lesson: God will let you rock out, but not too hard.

A proposed summer amphitheater tour by a reunited Van Halen that was derailed when guitarist Eddie Van Halen checked into rehab now looks like it may be resurrected as a fall arena run. Several arena holds are in place in major markets for potential Van Halen dates, Billboard.com has learned.

The tour, negotiations for which were first tipped here on Jan. 24, would feature David Lee Roth, Eddie and Alex Van Halen and Eddie Van Halen's teenage son Wolfgang on bass.

Wheels had been in motion for a 40-date, Live Nation-produced amphitheater tour, with original frontman Roth back in the fold for the first time in more than 20 years. Van Halen last toured in 2004 with vocalist Sammy Hagar, grossing nearly $40 million, according to Billboard Boxscore.

But the reunion never got off the ground, and Eddie Van Halen entered a rehabilitation facility for undisclosed reasons in March. In the months since, the artist has been seen publicly looking healthy and fit.

Richie Sambora apparently didn't need 30 days to cure what ailed him. A week after checking in, the Bon Jovi guitarist has checked out of a Los Angeles treatment facility, a rep for the band confirmed to E! News.

"Richie Sambora has completed a program at the UCLA Medical Center. He is doing well and continues to receive outside support," the rep said.

It's unclear what the 47-year-old rocker was being treated for, but those close to him agreed that he had been having an extremely rough year and was finally taking time out to get help.

Slash has admitted that he wants his band Velvet Revolver to stop playing songs by Guns N Roses and Stone Temple Pilots, and would instead like the two groups to reunite.

Slash also announced to Chilean magazine Rock & Pop that he intends to drop Guns N Roses and Stone Temple Pilots songs from the setlist later this year.

However speaking to the Brazilian branch of MTV, the star, who left Guns N Roses in 1996, said reunions of both bands are a possibility.

"I'm not saying never," he explained. "You know, I was saying it would be a good idea to get, just for a couple of shows, to get the original STP and the original Guns N Roses just to do a couple of shows for the fun of it."

Yeah, just like Van Halen...

The long awaited Van Halen reunion tour will be even longer-awaited -- Eddie Van Halen has checked himself into alcohol-related rehab.

In a statement to TMZ, the rock legend explains why he's determined to clean up his act:

I would like Van Halen fans to know how much I truly appreciate each and every one of you. Without you there is no Van Halen.

I have always and will always feel a responsibility to give you my best. At the moment I do not feel that I can give you my best. That's why I have decided to enter a rehabilitation facility to work on myself, so that in the future I can deliver the 110% that I feel I owe you and want to give you.

The Italian Guns N'Roses fan who threatened to shut down his popular website dedicated to the rock group if their delayed hinese Democracy album didn't hit stores this month (MAR07) has lived up to his word.

The fansite posted threats late last year (06) after another delay, but the unnamed fan gave frontman Axl Rose the benefit of the doubt when he released a statement promising fans the album would hit stores this month.

A recently announced delay has now sounded the death knoll for GNRonline.it, which has closed down in protest.

British rockers Iron Maiden are to play in the grounds of a palace in Bangalore, their first gig in India.

The concert on 17 March will be the first in the country by any major heavy metal band, says record company EMI.

The band have been together since 1975 and reached number two in the Indian album chart with their latest release.

The band have confirmed a total of 12 concerts in March and June, including the Desert Rock Festival in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates on 9 March.

And they are to play at the Download Festival in Britain's Donington Park and at the Netherlands' Fields of Rock Festival in Zwolle, both in June.

It's the most startling news to hit the heavy-metal circuit since Ozzy Osbourne bit the head off a bat.

The wizard of the Ozzfest is going back on the road this summer and this time the tickets to his 25-city tour will be free.

"It's our 12th year and we wanted to shake it up a bit and do something different," Osbourne's wife, Sharon, told The Associated Press on Tuesday.

Ticket prices for Ozzfest, which have ranged from $35 to $150, were beginning to rise beyond the reach of the rocker's loyal fans, his wife said, and he didn't want that to happen.

The reunion that Van Halen fans have been awaiting for twenty-two years began in December, when David Lee Roth walked into Eddie Van Halen’s Hollywood home studio. There he rejoined the band for a rehearsal, singing fourteen Van Halen classics. “They totally got along on a personal level,” a source close to the reunion says. “And it sounded great.” At press time, Roth and the band were negotiating a deal for a major summer tour, which would be Van Halen’s first Roth-fronted tour since 1984. Along with a possible Police reunion, it would likely be among the year’s biggest box-office draws.

Van Halen made a "jump" into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on Monday along with Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, R.E.M., The Ronettes and Patti Smith.

A panel of 600 industry experts selected the five artists to be inducted at the annual ceremony, to be held March 12 in New York City. To be eligible, artists must have issued a first single or album at least 25 years before nomination.

Van Halen was the 1980s hard rock quartet led by guitarist Eddie Van Halen, outrageous lead vocalist David Lee Roth, and later rocker Sammy Hagar, that put out hits such as Jump and Dreams.

R.E.M. was the quintessential indie rock band until breaking through to mass success in the early 1990s with songs like Losing My Religion.

So how do you feel about the class of 2007?

Okay, the band Queen has lost it's voice a "while" ago. This doesn't mean they have to be forgotten. They did an arena tour this year with Paul Rodgers as their new lead-singer.

But fans worldwide must have felt this wasn't the real thing, they felt the hole Freddie Mercury left behind. So why not go on with the original band members without the voice and replace Freddie with something quite original? If they decided to do so, could this be an interesting new version of Bohemian Rhapsody?

Would that one work in Madison Square Garden or Wembley Stadium?

What began as fondly jamming to the post-Ozzy Osbourne Black Sabbath tracks "Heaven and Hell" and "The Mob Rules" during Sabbath's Ozzfest 2005 soundchecks eventually led to a reunion with former singer Ronnie James Dio, according to bassist Geezer Butler.

"We just thought it was a bit of a shame that we can't play those songs again," he tells Billboard.com. "And then earlier this year [Sabbath guitarist] Tony [Iommi] went to see Dio. They wrote a couple of songs together and it just went from there."

Not only will an upcoming Dio-era Sabbath anthology feature three new songs ("Shadow of the Wind," "Devil Cries" and "Ear in the Wall"), but, as previously reported, a world tour is planned for 2007 as Heaven And Hell, the title of Sabbath's first post-Ozzy album from 1979.

Bad News were a spoof rock band, created for the Channel 4 television series The Comic Strip Presents.... Its members are Vim Fuego (aka Alan Metcalfe), vocals and lead guitar (played by Adrian Edmondson); Den Dennis, rhythm guitar (Nigel Planer); Colin Grigson, bass (Rik Mayall); and Spider Webb, drums (Peter Richardson).

The band also guested on some TV music shows and released a self-titled album, consisting of thrashy rock songs interspersed with arguments amongst the band. Brian May of Queen produced the album, which included a cover of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody".

Eddie Van Halen recently spoke to Guitar World Magazine. This quote is an excerpt from the interview featured in the new issue, and posted on a David Lee Roth fan site:

"I'm telling Dave. 'Dude get your ass up here and sing, witch! Come On!'" says Van Halen. "As it stands right now, the ball is in Dave's court. Whether he wants to rise to the occasion is entirely up to him, but we're ready to go."
