Michael Schumacher Wants You To Get Wasted Responsibly

We all know that seven-time Formula One Champ Michael Schumacher loves to race taxis to the airport. But apparently when he goes out for a drink, he lets the cab driver take the wheel. Schumacher has just produced this short spot in partnership with Bacardi to encourage responsible drinking. It will be shown internationally, though we doubt that means you'll see it on your telly in the states.

Ferrari to begin selling in India by 2010

As the pair of specially-prepared Ferrari 612 Scagliettis make their way across the subcontinent in the Magic India Discovery tour, news has emerged that Ferrari plans to enter the growing market there by 2010. The reports emanate from India's Economic Times, which quoted tour coordinator Gabriele Lalli as saying that Maranello was preparing a sales and marketing network in the country with an eye towards opening there in 2010.

Novitec Rosso F430 RACE gets in your face

Novitec Rosso is good at making fast things even faster. Such has been the case with its twin-supercharged Ferrari F430s, which pretty much go like stink. Now, with the introduction of the Novitec Rosso F430 RACE, it would appear that any remaining deodorant has worn off. What's faster than going like stink? Going like stench? So be it. That's what this striped rocketship does.

Pssst! Want to buy a fake Ferrari?

Italians are used to buying bogus Gucci bags or Rolex watches to look stylish but police found a new height of craftsmanship and cunning when they broke up a ring selling fake Ferrari cars for a fraction of the real price.

Police accused 15 people of building the blood red sports cars and selling them to car fanatics on a budget, most of whom knew they were buying a counterfeit classic.

Car body workers who police called "very able" cobbled together mostly fake parts and a few original components. They used body parts from other makes of automobiles, such as chassis, roofs, hoods, trunks and doors.

Novitec Ferrari F430

After watching this video we're sure you'll agree that the Novitec Rosso F430 is just about as beautiful as cars get. Powered by a twin-superchared version of the F430's 4.3L V8, the Novitec car makes an incredible 636 hp! We test drove this car in the summer of 2006 and were astounded at the power as well as by how well Novitec maintained the Ferrari mystique. With a complete carbon fiber aero kit, 19-inch front and 20-inch rear wheels and a custom Brembo brake package which includes 15-inch rotors with eight-piston front brakes, the Novitec F430 is twice the vehicle that the stock machine is – and that is saying A LOT!

Edo Competition 599/630 GTB

The sorcerers at Germany's Edo Competition have cast their spells on the Ferrari 599 GTB, and as usual, the results are impressive. The Edo Competition GTB comes in two flavors, but let's cover the common ground, first. The car gets lowered 40mm in back, 40 mm in front, and gets added stick courtesy of an Edo/KW adjustable sport suspension. 20" wheels with stainless outer rims can be custom-painted in any shade the owner desires, and the V12's song is newly amplified thanks to a sport exhaust with a driver-controllable butterfly valve. Want it to be louder? Just dial it up, baby.

Ferrari FXX Evoluzione

Following earlier reports, Ferrari unveiled a new, modified version of the super-Enzo during this past weekend's Ferrari World Finals at its Mugello race track in Italy. As the name suggests, FXX Evoluzione is a further evolution of the FXX program that places "client test drivers" (i.e. obscenely wealthy Ferrari aficionados playing Schumacher) behind the wheel of developmental test beds to try out new equipment for Ferrari. In fact, Schumacher himself was reportedly on hand to unveil the car, having sporadically participated in the program over the past two years.

The luxury unit of Nokia has started selling a phone designed jointly with Ferrari for about 18,000 euros ($25,400) at its stores in London, Paris, Hong Kong and Singapore, it said on Thursday.

The Vertu unit produced the Ascent Ferrari 1947 phone to celebrate Ferrari's 60th anniversary.

"We worked very closely to develop this limited edition of 60 phones. Detailing on the phone is inspired by detailing on a number of Ferrari cars," said Vertu spokeswoman Elizabeth Maragh.

Yes, we have another idiot on our hands. It didn't take too long before we got to witness the next crashed Ferrari. What is it with those drivers? Don't they care about their car, because they have all the money in the world to buy a new one? Or is it that Ferrari drivers really don't know how to drive a car? Can you answer that question?

Ferrari: It ain't a sin to buy the car

When it comes to luxury sports cars, Ferrari begs to differ with the Pope.

The Vatican issued a document listing its rules of the road, including one warning against using cars "as a means for outshining other people and arousing a feeling of envy."

Ferrari's general manager acknowledged the Vatican's concern that some drivers could use the cars as status symbols, but he said most people bought Ferraris for the love of driving.

Ferrari gets in Guinness with record 385 cars at Silverstone

Last Saturday, Ferrari finally got its wish and set the Guinness World Record for the Largest Parade of Ferrari Cars. It wasn't easy, requiring 385 cars to drive a distance of at least two miles with each car being no farther than two car lengths apart.

The process for Guinness World Record certification also dictated that a representative be on hand to verify the attempt, as well as count the total number of cars at the beginning and end of the parade lap.

Ferrari estimates that over £60 million worth of Italian automotive exotica was on the Silverstone Circuit at once, including everything from a 250 California Spyder to a 250GTO to F40s, F50s, Enzos and ultra-rare FXX. The record attempt honors Ferrari's 60th Anniversary, as well as the 40th Anniversary of the Ferrari Owners Club of Great Britain, the latter of which provided most of the cars for the record-breaking lap of Silverstone.

Prang with a bus costs Ferrari driver £300,000

A businessman is suing a bus company for more than £300,000 over a crash which smashed up his rare supercar.

Property tycoon Frank Mountain has issued a High Court writ, claiming a reckless bus driver was to blame for the damage to his £600,000 Enzo Ferrari.

The writ alleges the single-decker bus was being driven too fast when it rounded a bend on the wrong side of the road and collided with his car.

Ferrari Aurea Berlinetta

Ferrari Aurea Berlinetta

Ferrari Aurea arose from a graduation thesis with the support of Ferrari engineers.? The Aurea Project was born from the desire to place the F1 DNA on a normal car.

With the teamwork of Ferrari's Product Engineers, the project saw a good deal of modification to become a sports car heir to the 360 Modena.

One of the major requests was to 'dress' the engine-frame of the 360 Modena. The light changes made to the frame have been verified by a special calculating program (Straus) and compared with the original one. The

Ferrari theme park

We've already seen Ferrari's licensing skills produce a range of merchandise from sunglasses to laptops - and now it's taking on Disneyland with the prancing horse's very own theme park. The doors will open in 2009 in Abu Dhabi, the capital city of the United Arab Emirates, and CAR Online has obtained the architect's drawings revealing the plans for the first time.

A large slice of desert on the island of Yas will be reclaimed to host the development, which will include 24 attractions, including a 70-metre high G-Force Tower and what's claimed to be the world's first F1-branded twin rollercoaster ride, allowing races between carriages.

Hamann does up the Ferrari 599 GTB

Hamann, the tuner of all manner of exotica, has gotten their grubby little paws on Ferrari's finest grand tourer, the 599 GTB.

To begin with, the Hamann treatment does not augment the engine, exhaust or suspension in any way, instead leaving the 600+ HP, V12 to do its job as Ferrari's engineers saw fit.

Hamann opted to focus their attention on the 599's bodywork, adding a chin spoiler, extending the side skirts and tacking on a new rear diffuser. Although down force is rarely a problem with Marnello motorcars, Hamann added a duo of wings: one gracing the edge of the bumper, while another sits atop the rear window.
