The “Back to the Future” and “Taxi” star showed ABC’s “Good Morning America” what remained of his $11 million home in the exclusive celebrity neighborhood northwest of Los Angeles.

“Boy, look at that,” Lloyd said as he approached the rubble. “All this happens in a couple of minutes.”

Lloyd’s home was among dozens of homes lost in wildfires in Southern California.

The “Tea Fire” which started at the privately owned Tea Garden Estate, about a mile north of Santa Barbara’s Westmont College, ripped through an area that Oprah Winfrey, Michael Douglas, Rob Lowe and other celebrities call home.

Lloyd told “Good Morning America” that it was “just sort of sinking in” that his home was gone for good.

“It’s amazing, its just gone,” Lloyd told “Good Morning America.” “Rebuilding would be — it’s too much. You can’t rebuild that.”

The home’s windows were blown out, entire sections demolished, and piles of concrete, ashy trees and shrubbery were scattered across the property.

“You watch TV, you see these kinds of incidents happening here and there, but you look with a kind of detachment because it’s happening … elsewhere,” he told “Good Morning America.” “But suddenly to be in the midst of it — it’s a very different awareness.”

Lloyd joked that he had been planning on organizing and storing memorabilia from the home, but never got around to it.

“Kind of don’t have to worry about that now,” he said.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol said the actress, famous for roles in the television series Dynasty and Melrose Place, showed “obvious impairment” after they found her parked car blocking the lane of a highway.

After alcohol was ruled out, the 47-year-old star was tested for drugs at a police station before being released.

She is charged with driving under the influence of prescription drugs and could face a fine or up to six months in jail if convicted.

Locklear, who divorced Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora last year, sought treatment for anxiety and depression in June.

Officials would not give details about the amount or type of drug Locklear had allegedly taken but stressed the tests showed no illegal substances.

Lee Carter, Santa Barbara County deputy district attorney, told entertainment gossip site TMZ.com that officials believed the prescription drugs identified in Locklear’s system “could have impaired her ability to safely drive a motor vehicle”.

The actress was arrested on September 27 in Montecito, the celebrity enclave damaged by a severe wildfire over the past few days, following a tip-off to police from a paparazzo.

Kenzhebay Satzhanov, deputy chairman in Kazakhstan’s tourism and sports ministry, told AFP that British comic Sacha Baron Cohen’s character had helped put the country on the map.

“It was free of charge advertising and lots of people want to come and see our country,” he said through a translator at the four-day annual World Travel Market tourism industry fair in London, which closes Thursday.

“The rise (in tourists was) maybe not so huge like we expected but in any case we saw interest.”

The 2006 smash hit film “Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan” offended some by portraying the country as full of backward quasi-mediaeval racists who drink horse urine.

Kazakhstan’s government was initially angered by the film, but its response softened amid the publicity it brought.

“The first glance was not of course positive, it cannot be because you see a lot of not so good things,” Satzhanov said.

“But then, after that, when we start seeing interest in our country, it was of course reflected better, it was positive.

“People, after looking at this film, they will like to come and see: ‘is it real, is it the same or not?’ It helps to learn more about our country.

“Every year they organise a familiarisation trip for international journalists and they had around 15 trips and they could see by their eyes how the country is, is it like Borat told?

“This film was made in Romania, it’s a very poor country.”

Satzhanov said Borat had still not taken up his invite to visit Kazakhstan.

The country’s three major tourist development projects — the completely new Aktau City beach resort on the Caspian Sea coast, Borovoye and Kapchagay lake — were unaffected by the global financial downturn, Satzhanov said.

“The result of six months’ statistics showed that inbound tourism grew by 13 percent,” he said.

“At the moment, no problem.”

The comedienne accused blacks of being “bigots” and “ignorant” for supporting the ballot initiative, which amends the state constitution to define marriage as between a man and a woman.

“How is it that those who demand tolerance from others are so intolerant of the people’s vote to reserve marriage for a man and a woman?” asked Thomasson.

Even liberal activists are appalled at the display of what they acknowledge is racism.

Kathryn Kolbert, president of People for the American Way, issued a statement condemning comments such as Barr’s.

“As a mother who has raised two children in a 30-year relationship with another woman, I fully understand the depth of hurt and anger at voters’ rejection of our families’ equality,” Kolbert said. “But responding to that hurt by lashing out at African Americans is deeply wrong and offensive — not to mention destructive to the goal of advancing equality.”
