We all know that seven-time Formula One Champ Michael Schumacher loves to race taxis to the airport. But apparently when he goes out for a drink, he lets the cab driver take the wheel. Schumacher has just produced this short spot in partnership with Bacardi to encourage responsible drinking. It will be shown internationally, though we doubt that means you'll see it on your telly in the states.

Subway's formerly endearing mascot has turned the big one-zero. Yes, it's been a decade since we first saw Jared waddling to Subway after losing 245 pounds.

Lately Jared has been extremely busy. He's on a "Tour de Pants"--a sort of going away party for his fat pants; he recently starred in a "Got Milk" ad; and is in the middle of an expensive divorce. She reportedly will also get 60% of the proceeds from his forthcoming life story. Incidentally, who doesn't know Jared's life story?

On the bright side, Jared now has a ridiculously hot girlfriend (you can get a lot of exercise on that thing).

Americans have known for years that Europeans can get away with a lot more on their television airwaves then we ever could here. Commercials in particular seem to contain a lot more sexual imagery, sexual innuendo ... and sometimes just straight up sex. If you don't believe us, check out this French commercial that is the second most popular spot on video ad site Firebrand and one of filthiest ads we've ever seen that wasn't advertising actual porn. You may be asking yourself, "What product could possibly require such a salacious come on in order to convince people to purchase it?"

Even if you don’t read Russian, a recent print ad for Louis Vuitton is something of a visual joke: Mikhail S. Gorbachev, the last leader of the old Soviet Union, sits in a limousine as it passes a remaining part of the Berlin Wall, an open Louis Vuitton bag beside him.

If you do read Russian, the ad seems to be even more curious: poking out of the bag is a publication with the headline, “The Murder of Litvinenko: They Wanted to Give Up the Suspect for $7,000.”

The reference is to Alexander V. Litvinenko, the former K.G.B. spy who died last November after being poisoned with a radioactive isotope, polonium 210. On his deathbed, Mr. Litvinenko accused President Vladimir V. Putin of orchestrating his murder; the British authorities have accused one of Mr. Litvinenko’s associates, Andrei K. Lugovoi, of the crime, and have requested his extradition from Russia, which the Kremlin has refused.

Simon Jardak was today convicted and fined $400 for maliciously damaging property after throwing a bottle out his window in anger because the RTA hand gesture offended him.

The hand gesture was the basis of a New South Wales advertising campaign against speeding.
