Audience whoops at Hoff key performance

"Germany's Number One Male Vocalist", David Hasselhoff, has left US audiences rolling with laughter after belting out a song on America's Got Talent.

The Baywatch and Knight Rider star, who recently won custody of his teenage daughters Hayley and Taylor, probably mortified the pair with his rendition of This Is The Moment to an audience in the millions.

Hasselhoff has remarked that the role his music played in bringing about the downfall of communism and reuniting Germany has been largely unrecognised.

On New Year's Eve 1989, Hasselhoff stood atop of the partly-demolished Berlin Wall and sung his German No.1 hit Looking for Freedom as the communist regime in East Germany was in its death throes.
