Here’s the official trailer for the animated Star Wars: The Clone Wars Movie, which is a prequel to the Star Wars: The Clone Wars TV series beginning this fall. I’m a little surprised that they decided to release this in theatres and not just kick the series off on TV, but hey, more money for Lucas.

I have to admit; when the Hancock teaser trailer was released a few months ago, I thought it looked absolutely terrible, and that says a lot considering that I’m a big fan of Will Smith and his “Aw hell nah!” action flicks.

But the new full-length trailer has turned my opinion completely around; now I can’t wait for the movie to be released. Seriously, it looks awesome!

Now that Iron Man is here, it got us to thinking: Could we build our own Iron Man suit? Not just a costume, but a functioning apparatus that could perform the miracles the spectacular marvel in the movie does? Well, not really. We’ll have to pass on antigravity tech and jets blowing out the bottoms of our feet that are hot enough to roast our tootsies like marshmallows — never mind that the suit clearly breaks the first law of thermodynamics, creating energy for free.

This Iron Man movie got a big 96% on rotten tomatoes.com! And in my opinion Rotten tomatoes is always right...

Here the movie opens this week, so I will go to the movietheatre tomorrow and try to ignore all the kids, can't wait!

J.J. Abrams, the "mystery box" producer behind Cloverfield and director of the upcoming Star Trek film, is taking a step into the more apparent and less labyrinthine. Abrams is set to produce a "Superbad-like" comedy called Hot for Teacher, which apparently surrounds a trio of high school virgins out to get laid before they graduate, with one targeting his teacher.

Max Payne is being translated from videogame to big screen. Some of the brains behind it are trying to make sure that kind of hassle doesn’t have to happen again.

At the end of a long day working in Hell’s Kitchen, N.Y.P.D. detective Max Payne returns to find his home being ransacked by armed junkies. High on a new designer drug called Valkyr, they open fire on the cop, who stumbles over the dead bodies of his wife and newborn daughter. Killing the murderers doesn’t quench Payne’s thirst for revenge, and he sets out to find the sources of Valkyr and make them pay.

When I first heard that Frank Miller (creator of 300, Sin City) would be adapting Will Eisner’s The Spirit comicbook for the big screen, I thought it would be a straightforward summer superhero flick, but after checking out this incredibly awesome teaser trailer, it looks like Miller has added his own personal style to the movie and now The Spirit could easily be called Sin City 2… and I couldn’t be happier.

Acouple of weeks ago we already showed you the trailer to the new movie starring Robert Englund and Jenna Jameson called Zombie Strippers and just a couple of days ago the premiere for their movie took place and Jenna of course made an appearance. If you grew up in the 80’s, chances are you were either a Transformers fan or a G.I. Joe fan. I was both, but I dug G.I. Joe slightly more, so I’m actually, believe it or not, anticipating the upcoming live action G.I. Joe movie even more than I was for the Transformers movie. The first shot of Snake Eyes was pretty damn cool, and here’s Rachel Nichols as the crossbow carying readhead Scarlett. I’m not crazy about the dark suit, but she’s easy on the eyes so it’s all good.

Here’s the long awaited trailer for House Bunny starring Scary Movie alumni (and extremly underrated) Anna Faris. I’ve always had a thing for Faris so seeing her as a Playboy bunny and running around in skimpy clothing is definitely a must see for me. Good old Katharine McPhee also lends her talents (i.e. incredible legs) to the film as a pregnant hottie. House Bunny opens on August 22nd.

It’s for the first time I’ve met a Russian horror movie. It tells us how the Big Radioactively Mutated (sounds familiar) Turtle attacks Russian army.

It's kind of funny to think back and realize that the PG-13 rating was created because of a pair of Steven Spielberg flicks. Boiled down to its essence, the new rating was invented because of A) the heart-ripping sequence from Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and B) the microwave oven explosion in Gremlins. (Yes, I know Joe Dante directed Gremlins, but it was a Spielberg production.) I remember thinking it was a very smart move: This way movies could get a little more violent / sexy / nasty -- without overdoing it -- and the youthful movie fans could still enjoy the mayhem. But we should have known something was out of whack from the very first flick: The debut of the PG-13 was on John Milius' Red Dawn ... which quickly made its way into the record books as one of the most violent films ever made. The release of the Paris Hilton vehicle The Hottie and the Nottie has revived the debate as to which is the worst motion picture ever made. Because the film logged in with some of the worst receipts in history - $250 per screen on opening weekend - there is a temptation to accord it the mythical status of such universally ridiculed motion pictures as Attack of the Killer Tomatoes or Plan 9 From Outer Space, to welcome it into the dark, Bizarro World pantheon inhabited by phantasmagoric disasters such as Showgirls, Ishtar, Heaven's Gate, Battlefield Earth, The Postman and, most recently, Gigli and Swept Away.

Heroes are boring. Shoot gun, blow up car, quip, save girl, fuck her. Nope, given the choice between a clean-cut, rational character and an unshaven, mumbling, drugged-up lunatic, we’ll take the schizo every time. Nothing lights up the silver screen like a bona fide wacko, so we’ve gone to great lengths to bring together the craziest MFs that cinema has ever seen. Between them, they’ve killed hundreds of innocent people, snorted mountains of drugs, tortured dozens of cops, destroyed planets before breakfast and drenched many a sane co-star with their rabid spittle. Take a large step back and enjoy: may the mentals do battle!

Here’s the new trailer for The X-Files 2 that was shown at the Paley Fest yesterday, and it’s excellent. It’s definitely better than the previous unofficial trailer that was leaked last month, and it really gets you exited about the film and the return of Mulder and Scully. I still have no clue what it’s about, but any X-Files fan will tell you that they couldn’t care less about the movie’s plot.

James Bond's next nemesis may be hiding out among astronomers.

Scenes for the next Bond movie, "Quantum of Solace," will be shot at one of the world's premier telescope sites, the European Southern Observatory's Very Large Telescope (VLT) in Chile.

The mountaintop location's otherworldly landscape caught the attention of the film's director. The VLT, which includes four giant 27-foot (8.2-meter) telescopes, sits atop the 8,530-foot-high (2,600-meter) Cerro Paranal mountain in the Atacama Desert.
